jewelry, white light and ceramics

I know I've said it before but jewelry remains one of my favorite things about an outfit. Jewelry is very unique to each individual and none two collections are the same. I've also grown quite a passion for pretty jewelry holders. I love that I was able to find the teal blue cups that match the roughly molded saucers. I bought both sets at the Fairfax flea market on separate occasions. The teacups are vintage, and the saucers were handmade by a boy who's mother makes Chinese pottery. I think they're my favorite part of my room.

I know everyone owns this hand from Urban, but I think its so cool. Im really interested in learning the art of palm reading.

Mr. Kate decaying starburst earrings, Verameat silver french butter knife necklace and copper centaur necklace, Mr. Kate mini screw necklace

Both Mr. Kate pieces here I love! I just got the starburst earrings in the mail as a Christmas present from the designer Kate and I haven't stopped wearing them. I love the different sizes and the not so conventional shape to the stars. I feel like an exotic space princess when I put them on. The mini screw necklace I wear allllll the time. No joke. Its one of my favorite pieces to throw on for a spin on a simplistic silver chain and pendant.

Now I'm off to yoga class with my mom, part of our new years resolutions, and then tomorrow I have a photoshoot with a friend that Im very excited to work with. Hope your January is off to a good start!

I love your jewelery collection. I envy your idea on using teacups to hold jewelery. Very clever, I think that is my next search, tea cups for my jewelery.

Lovely collection... so true about the uniqueness of everyone's collection. I never really thought about it that way before, but you could probably tell a lot about someone from their jewelry.

I love seeing all your jewelry, and I always thought the palm-reading hand from Urban was cool, too. :p

I LOVE the idea of displaying jewelry!! Why hide it away in a box, I want to look at it and admire all my jewelry everyday :)

The phrase you're looking for is "no two are alike" not "none two"

Also, the "art" of palm reading? More like a sham...I hope you understand nothing can really be said about a person just by the lines on their hands.

Your jewelry collection is stunning. I considered buying a (an?) YSL cocktail ring after Christmas but social shopping dictated otherwise. I love how all of your blog posts and outfits are truly unique: I never see the same things on other bloggers. Also, I just read up on palm reading, pretty fascinating stuff!

Jewelry will shine to you and i agree with that but most of it shine to the eye of thieves.

Vera Wang jewelry said...

You put everything in places and I loved it. Jewelries means beauty. It will help you on showing the inner beauty and also the best way of expressing ourselves.
This might be small but the power it has is reachable.
Jewellery can also be symbolic of group membership, as in the case of the Christian crucifix or Jewish Star of David, or of status, as in the case of chains of office, or the Western practice of married people wearing a wedding ring.
On me, jewelries are friend and I never stop loving them. I even regularly check my favorite store, Vera Wang jewelry for new items.
