This dress has dragonflies on it, and some beautiful glass beading down the front. I need to get it tailored so its shorter, but Ive been meaning to get it on the blog for a while.

The holidays are here! You have no idea how happy I am. I've added a couple of sparkly party dresses to my arsenal which Im too excited to whip out at a moment's notice. No big deal, but the holidays are only the best. Its not even about the presents. Its about the atmosphere.
Im currently listening to the O Brother, Where Art Thou? soundtrack. Its so soulful and calming, which is what I really need right now. Im definitely in the mood to watch this movie tonight.

Oh, goodness, it's definitely super stressful! Glad it went okay! :)
That sweater looks like exactly what I've been wishing for for so long! I'm so jealous! you don't even know!
Love the nail polish too!
I might as well end every sentence with an exclamation mark! Don't know why I'm doing this!
I'm so glad you posted this!! I LOVE your red sweater, and I've been looking for proper knit sweaters all of two months now! But every time I go up to supposed knit sweaters, they feel flimsy and not at all like the thick cable knit items I desire. But your sweater is exactly what I'm searching for, and it's in such a wondrously rich colour too!
Great pics :)
lovely look. i'm totally digging the length of the dress, i hope you don't change it too much...

I got lucky when it came to the in laws. My other half and I had been best friends for a couple of years before we got together so I'd already drunk a good lot of cups a tea with who was to become my "mother in law". Chill. You'll be fine, you can only make a great impression looking this pretty ;)
I love that "Oh Death" song. Such a strong voice :) that and the big rock candy mountains which I hated at first but then a colleague always used to put it on when we were cleaning the hotel and that cheered up bed making like anything :)

super cute outfit.. i'm in love with that knit.. awesome find :)
What a great strip of photos, the slightly blurred pictures combined with artistic reds, can't help loving them all! I would like to swap links between our sites and wondering about following swaps and a possible feature? Think I'll email as well:-)xx Alice
Adorable dress. I would be apprehensive to shorten it though— that shin-skimming length is really in right now! (Well, at least in New York . . .) I like that length, too because you can wear really high heels without looking too leggy.
I'm sure the boyfriend's parents loved you!
