As always, Im confused about my style. Ive been gravitating towards the edgier, more street-look lately (black tank tops, sweatpants, studded bag, etc.) and yet that doesn't feel quite right. I realize now, fully, that I will always go back to being feminine in the end. Im thinking about frills, lace, florals, sweet prints, chiffons, bows, accentuated-waists and then everything else in between. But then of course I love mixing the whole man look, (trousers, plaids, oversized button ups, blazers etc.), in with the feminine. Thats why this W editorial is so beautiful and Im posting it here. Its just perfect. The red lips and tousled hair are to die for, as well as completely easy to do for fall. Who's ready for cold months ahead? I'm a little bit over summer dresses.
P.s. Anyone read Mockingjay? I cried like a baby.

You should just stop trying to define your style. I bet you'd feel better. :)
I think that defining our style is the best that we can do. I'm trying to define my own style too and there's nothing better than try everything and see which style is the best for you.

I was sobbing during Mockingjay. Peeta is/was so dear to my heart!
I know this is a common thing, but I find that during summer I end up wearing a similar outfit every day (i.e, v-neck teeshirt and shorts with some shoe variation). Fall is definitely the optimal season for getting wear out of clothes and being more creative in terms of fashion. And the editorial is sweet. I wish I could pull off red or dark lipstick unfortunately I end up looking corpse-like.
It's natural to feel confused about your personal style, but I suggest to just wear what makes you feel your best! Genuine style comes from within, so don't be afraid to be yourself!

i'm so glad the 50s look is creeping back, especially the kitten heels and accentuated waists. lovely editorial!

I struggle with my style all the time and I just hope that over time I'll slowly build it up until I love everything I wear.
I want to read Mockingjay right now but I have summer homework. Noooo....
I just finished reading Mockingjay!! It was so satisfying especially the end but a real roller coaster to read.
I love feminine and menswear inspired looks as well. I think it's fine to like many different styles and trends as long as you feel comfortable and great in them!
To be honest, I've been reading your blog for a few weeks now and loving your outfits (and these beautiful photos), but I wasn't sure if I actually liked you as a person until you mentioned Mockingjay.
so, so beautiful. and i am SO ready for the cold months ahead. the last coat is gorgeous. i wish i could see the details and the color. (ps: love, love the hair in every photo)

I went to the release of mockingjay and im just now reading it! my friends cried sooo hard
Yeah, I have the same thing. I love to look elegant/feminine but on the other hand I really like grunge style or glam rock, or sth like that. But I really just wear what feels right, on the spur of the moment :) And it's ok.
I love the photos btw, they really are perfection.
Love the editorial.
Loved Mockingjay!
I cried as well.

Ahh you read mockingjay? i sobbed. Peeta, hijacked- my heart was so sad while i read it.
As you said, feminine clothes will always attract me the most. they make me the happiest. I am a girl's girl :) xx
i was half way through mockingjay when i decided to go ahead and read the ending (it was going way to slow for me) and i was so disappointed. I haven't read it since, I was rooting for Gale and the ending/epilogue was so rushed
just wear how you feel and you'll have style! love this editorial, especially the lipliner and lipstick!
I am definitely over summer dresses. And, call me old-fashioned, but I love looking like a lady. It's hard not to be swayed by other looks (I adore the cropped leather Isabel Marant trousers), but red lips and blowsy hair will always make you feel fabulous...

lol [/mockingjaycrazyobsessedfanspeech]
also i really love your blog
you have a cool sense of style :)
im also feeling so over my summer dresses! but i want to soak it up while i can, too. i have the same dilemma btwn feminine and edgy stuff. i find that you can make the edgy more feminine with a sleeker fit. boxy things look crazy on me!
CLOTHESURE
Love this! It's vintage glamour with a bit of 80's edge.

I read Mockingjay - I'm glad I'm not the only one!!! I read the last part an hour before work and I had to re-do my Make- up. I'm going to miss those books...
