I picked up POP magazine and these photos of Abbey Lee were in it. She and Devon Aoki are my new favorites.
As far as POP... well. I just dont understand why magazines insist on putting fully naked people in their pages. Is it supposed to inspire a person to join a nudist colony or something? I just dont understand.

Yeah, I definitely don't understand the fully nude thing. If it's a fashion shoot, you kind of need clothing. You can only go do far with nudity until it seems distasteful.

abbey lee is so amazing. i havent read POP myself because they dotn sell it here but fashion mags should be about fashion and not nudity right..?
That would certainly do a number on the fashion industry if we all did up and join a nudist colony. I guess body jewelry sales might go up... and maybe towel sales, but that's not really fashion.

Have you ever considered that some people find the beauty of the naked human body inspiring? I know I certainly do. While I do enjoy looking at pages filled with mountains of opulent material things, sometimes "less is more". :)
i don't have anything against naked people. it's just kinda awkward.
the first thing that came to my mind after seeing this editorial was 'omgosh, abbey lee is clothed!'
sometimes too much is really too much.

I completely agree with your point about fully naked models. I recently bought this issue of POP, and I don't understand it either. And it was kind of pointless and purposeless and just plain frightening.

That always mystified me too... why is a fashion mag showing naked people? Aren't they about clothes? Its even more confusing when it comes to ads... shouldn't they be showing their clothes, not some naked person? Isn't that the point of a clothing store's ad?

I wonder why almost all naked people in magazines and other visual art works are women. Are women considered less graphic than men? Or more beautiful?

I'm sorry i do not like her. Too me she just looks dirty and too thin. I agree about the naked people though. Its embarrasing opening the pages with my mum next to me. ou never know what might pop out.
