Im No Pansy

Im completely obsessed with these floral high-waisted silk trousers. In the 40s during the war the women did not have silk for their nylons because the silk was needed for these special type of parachutes that were needed for the war effort. So instead the women started going to work and opted for a high waisted, low-crotch style as shown here. These gorgeous pants mirror the time of the pioneering women who went to work while their husbands fought overseas. Think Kate Hepburn (ooo she had style!) All hail the pioneering women!

Im kind of wondering if I should taper these and make them skinny. I can only imagine how amazing they would look peg-legged. Hmm...

Shoes

This is Part 2 of the Closet Post. These are currently my favorite shoes of the month. I actually took this picture for an interview but couldnt keep it to myself any longer. I first debuted it on lookbook.nu but figured that the blogger community should have it too. Im wearing red lipstick here, a little break from the usual pink. Kinda fun, right?

I took this picture with my tripod and I would be lying if I said I wasnt somewhat proud of myself.

Closet Post

Tada! This is where I store most of my pants, blouses, men's shirts, skirts, jackets, hats, handbags, dresses, and blazers. I can safely say that I need a bigger closet. I cant wait to be living in New York City with a large apartment with an entire room devoted to my clothes and shoes. Space efficient? Nope. Necessary? Most definitely.

P.s. Ive listed some more items in my closet to buy. I will be updating some more over the next couple of days. Click here.

River

This is why I love Goodwill. This blazer? Yup. Moschino Couture. Absolutely beautiful, had it dry-cleaned, its oversized, moves and flows like the river Im standing in front of, and is just plain gorgeous. Thank the heavens for the creator of Goodwill, because there is nothing like it.

The No Pants Dance

When it comes to mens shirts, this one pretty much takes the cake. Reasons? a) Its navy, basically my favorite color, b) its silk, c) I bought it at goodwill and d) its Ralph Lauren, which means it has the little crest on the pocket that Im absolutely dying over.

Little neighbor boys (click for pic): What are you doing?
Me and Photographer (Mom): Taking pictures.
Little neighbor boys: Well you cant take pictures for that long.
Me and Mom: Really? Why?
Little neighbor boys: You cant take pictures long because then it will be dark!
Me and Mom: Ohhhhhhhhhh.

Mark this day in the books because this is officially the first day EVER in Oregon history where it is sunny for once. Haha, I joke. Its the second.

P.s. Dont worry peeps! I have shorts underneath all of this, but I was sick, so this was basically my sick "dress-up" sort of outfit.

All Around Goodness

Imagine my excitement when a few weeks ago I received an email from Naomi Nevitt, TeenVogue's online fashion editor, asking me to be interviewed for their online feature Blogger of the Moment. I first picked up a copy of TeenVogue 2 years ago with Orlando Bloom on the cover and it quickly became my clothes bible. I cant tell you how amazing this is, Im super happy now. Read the article here.

I did a little article on wearing jewelery at Chictopia.com Check it.

Also, look at the sweet drawing that the blog Tinyinkosaurus drew of me. Thanks so much! Check out the darling illustration blog here, (which includes drawings of favorites like Camille and Susie Bubble).

In The Jungle

I hate the smell of leather, but I love the look of motorcycle jackets, so this purchase made sense, especially since Ive been looking for a moto jacket for a long time now. Now everywhere I look I see this jacket. So weird.

This is my Leviticus necklace! Its absolutely gorgeous. I love the multi-colored chains all strung together and the little dagger + armory shield attached to it. I didnt really get a good picture, but rest assured I will in the near future, for now though, take a closer look at the site.

Text from someone who doesnt know I have a blog: What ya doing?

Me: Emailing.

Him: Cool.

Lies!

Happy Easter!

Aren't these flowers precious?
I hope this Easter is a fine one for you all. Me? I cant wait for school tomorrow. Weird, right? Ive convinced half of my classmates that something big was going to happen on Monday, and now theyre all freaking out. Its a bit of a late April Fools joke, though it would be awesome if something actually did happen.

This is How We Do It The Jewish Way

So it was basically holiday week for a bunch of religions. There was Passover, then Good Friday. You know, holidays! So, being sorta-kinda (not really, my-dad is -but- my mom-'aint so-not-technically) jewish I went to a little get together with a few relatives and we had the whole plate with the different food varieties placed here and where they were supposed to. But what we also had was macaroons. I know, Oh my god! Right? Well I basically jumped at the chance to eat real live macaroons, you know, the little pink ones or the green ones that look suspiciously like colored Crabby Patties (pretty patties) in that one episode of spongebob, (you all know what Im talkin 'bout, right?) However, little did I know that, no, oh no, was that the kind I was going to eat.

Instead, I got the totally awesome, not as pink (or green or yellow or blue), completely delicious, blessed-by-a-Rabbi macaroons. These were tan and swirled upwards in a little cookie formation with gooey-ness on the insides. Soooo good. I completely recommend eating one or two or three.

Pictured above is a macaroon on my new Steve Madden black wedges, the twins to these.

(Photo cred, dearest father.)

P.s. If I offended any religion at all in this post, Im really sorry. I didnt mean to be offensive I just have an absolute lack of knowledge as far as religions go. Thanks.
