Sleepless in Seattle

I have been wearing this outfit for two days now. Reason being, Ive been traveling and despite having quite a large suitcase Ive found myself not wanting to wear anything but these luscious disco pants and this pretty pink mens shirt. I arrived home at midnight last night and have been walking like the half dead ever since.

I want to know how all of these Editor in Chiefs and Stylists go to Fashion Week. How many suitcases do they bring? How big are they? It never seems like I have enough clothing wherever Im going, and then at the end of the trip I find I have too much to lug onto the plane.

P.s. In love with this guy. He is fantastic.

Coffee Boy

Im going to one day finally get my hands on a pair of actual boyfriend boyfriend jeans, but until then, I'll just have to listen to Beyonce's If I Were a Boy and run around in these deliciously distressed Chip and Peppers.

Ive been on the hunt for a perfectly crisp white blazer, and I found this one just lying across my bed. Coincidence? I think not!

Blossom Dearie

When I wore the black version of this hat I got a couple of comments saying I looked like Blossom. I filed that away in the back of my head and when I went for a sleepover at a friends house, I took this cream version with me. I wake up the following day and leave and then what do I find in front of my friends house? A beautiful blooming magnolia tree. Of course very fitting, and of course the perfect photo op.

My mother got on the ground to take these pictures. I did not ask her to do that.
Yes she is strange, but she's mine. :)

Have a great day lovelies!

That'a way

Im wearing my disco pants once again. And my new black american apparel u-neck dress. I seriously can not get enough of these body hugging dresses. They are insanity in the best form, completely versatile and so layer under everything. Its a wonder I wear anything else.

Im shifting my wardrobe to a basic black, navy, white and gray sort of faze, but one must make room for added fun extras like this Aztec inspired button up. People should still have a few crazy pieces in life, because that is exactly what humans are. Crazy.

New Heels

Do you see a pattern here.....?

(chloé fall 2007, style.com)

Yes. Thats right. The Chloé Wedges. I had been avidly stalking Lulu's Shoes and Your Mom site for a few days because I had been in some dire need of a new pair of heels. The day before Valentine's I get online and there they are. The Chloé beauties. My mother decides to be incredibly giving and buys them for me from Valentine's day. Awwww.

The original owner, Gennie (who has a lovely blog, you should check it out, cause, you know, she owns the Chloé studded boots) was incredibly sweet and the wedges got to me in no less than 4 days, all the way from New York City.
I love, love, love them. The perfect addition to my ever growing wardrobe.

"Hey, I put some new shoes on and suddenly everything is right. I said, hey, I put some new shoes on and everybody's smilin' and its so invitin' Oh, short on money but long on time, slowly strolling in the sweet sunshine, and Im running late and I dont need an excuse, cause Im wearing my brand new shoes." -Paolo Nutini

Id like to thank Lulu, Gennie and my Mom! Thanks so much.

3.1 Philip Lim

I havent really hopped on the Lim wagon... until now. I loved his collection. The little details were everything and I loved the way he used the colors cream and white. The way he accented his pieces with metallic was pure heaven. I really really want a pair of the men's studded loafers he put out and the black floral tights were the extra detail that was incredibly fantastic. It was all pretty gorgeous.

Rose

I rolled up my lovely vintage eyelet bloomers today because I was getting sort of tired of the silhouette they were making around my legs. I like it this way a little better. Makes them a little looser and more casual.

As you can see I only have one of my hands painted red. Ive been a little busier than usual with a secret project I'll be able to share in March, and so therefore have had no time to really paint my nails the way Id like. Plus its kind of fun to just have one hand painted, and the other not.

I really want a rose scented perfume. Can anyone suggest an eu de toillette thats reasonably priced on the market right now?

Beauty

Im not going to go into a whole spiel on how this was so creatively artistic and beautiful it blew my mind. I bet someone else has already said that. Im going to just leave you with these gorgeous pictures, cause, you know, the Mulleavy sisters did a fantastic job.

P.s. Two posts in one night? Sick, man. Sick.

Is This What Paris is Like???

Cause if it is, I want to live there.

Clouds

So, yes, this shirt is sheer. It is also incredibly comfortable. And Im not talking, "Yuh-huh, thats nice, its soft." Im talking about "OH MY GOD I NEVER WANT TO TAKE IT OFF AGAIN!!" type of comfortable. Seriously. Id wear it all the time.

I love these pants because they are so gorgeously large, I pull them up and tie em off and they are the perfect rolled, slouchy, loose pants, ever.
