AVWG is my ideal mate.
Animal Collective, Coeur de Pirate, Boys Noize, Biggie, Devendra, Dr. Dog, and The Grateful Dead. haha and most of yours too!
Chutes Too Narrow definitely makes my favorites. It's undoubtedly the best Shins album. Along with, hm... Is This It (The Strokes), The Crane Wife and The Hazards of Love (both The Decemberists), and The Stranger (Billy Joel).
Also, do you know the band Born Ruffians? They're similar vibe-wise to MGMT and Vampire Weekend, very fun and dancey and awesome. Their album "Red, Yellow & Blue" is so great. Thought you might like to check them out!
I LOVE Spoon!
what a fun collection of music! i've been listening to a lot of arcade fire and lcd soundsystem!
love all these bands and for some reason the album covers make me want to buy their music even MORE...dont get me started with radiohead they are my favorite band of all friggen time
ALLLLLL of these are wonderful and amongst my favourites. The Shins? Effing brilliant. I will never get tired of them...ever. Vampire Weekend just has that innate ability to make me feel better, there's just something so light and whimsical about their sound.
A few of my favourites are Rush of Blood to the Head, Viva la Vida (both Coldplay), Can You Feel the Illinoise (Sufjan Stevens), We Were Here (Joshua Radin), and For Emma, Forever Ago (Bon Iver)
oh, andrew, i love you so~
veronica vanWyngarden has a certain ring to it.
not that anyone would steal him from you!
edit: oh, i forgot. my current favorite right now has to be Room on Fire from The Strokes. i feel like i'm so late discovering them, but sooo good.
Love your collection! I got some new shoes on...

Radiohead! That's wonderful that you like Radiohead. I've seen them twice. My absolute favorite band ever!
I love the Shins!! I'm really into the Bird & the Bee, Regina Spektor and Beck right now. Hmm. Rather an odd mix...
wooww. i don't think i've ever met anyone with such exactly similar music tastes to my own. my list would be the exact exact same as yours, but plus the new pornographers. LOVE THEM. if you don't know them, i definitely suggest you take a listen. other favourites, however, include ben folds and regina spektor.
Just seeing radiohead makes me want to go lay on my bed and listen listen listen with some big headphones and a bowl of popcorn.

you NEED to check out Tonight: Franz ferdinand. you'll love it. Let me know.
for alt rock i am loving the new paramore album and meg and dia's latest one.
for indie rock i like eisley (brightly wound specifically, so so pretty), vampire weekend, tegan and sara, and this new band i discovered through childhood flames' camille, first aid kit. they are fabulous.
i think we have very similar taste in music. indie rock wise, at least.

oh i love vampire weekend, and i agree paolo nutini is beautiful!
this is so weird. these albums are all on constant shuffle. i refuse to listen to anything else. just add the killers (sam's town and day and age), keane (first album), muse (black holes and revelations), and the stone roses.
mgmt, vampire weekens, the shins♥
oh, and regina spektor, veckatimest, the ting tings (saw them live w/a bacstage pass someone gave to me), and the beatles (duh)
You should listen to Massive Attack. Wonderful sounds. If you like the ones up here (which i love by the way), really consider them.

any of Coldplay's albums for sure.
Bloc Party's Intimacy
Regina Spektor's Far
and City & Colour
passion pit is absolutely the best thing to ever happen to me. their new album manners is amAZing
omg, I second Rosalie, Passion Pit is amazing! give them a listen :)
For me, Animal Collective is always on constant rotation, from Sung Tongs to Merriweather Post Pavilion...they're an incredible band. Others are Jeff Buckley (please listen to other songs BESIDES "Hallelujah" on the album 'Grace'. He was a sweet vocalist), Beach House, BAT FOR LASHES (amazing!!!!), and Tilly and the Wall (their percussionist for most songs is a tap dancer!)
mmmm i couldnt agree with you more!
passion pit chunk of change is a good cover and music, beirut, iron and wine....so many more though
i agree, Andrew VanWyngarden is beautiful!
My favorite albums right now= arcade fire: neon bible and Fever Ray's new album

I'm totally in love with arcade fire!!!
Love this post, inspiring. I love Poalo Nutini and the mgmt cover - lush. Oh and the vampire weekend cover is my favourite, very skins house party. x
lame boring and predictable
I'm lovin dan black, discovery, crystal castles, the xx, atlas sound... etccccc.
ps. your dotted tights are too cute!
<3 The Voguette
I think it's hilarious that people are criticizing your music taste. Like, how lame is that? Honestly? If they don't like your music... they could just not say anything. My guess is, they listen to shitty mainstream music and have nothing positive to contribute here. Whatever, there's no accounting for taste I suppose! You go, girl.
One of my good friends's father is a producer and he let my friend meet Vampire Weekend! So jealous, no?!
i've seen vampire weekend and paolo live, and I can say Ezra wins in my books.
currently into attack in black, black keys, animal collective, the kills/dead weather, and girl talk. Iron and Wine remains my all time favourite.
I second Annie's suggestion of Born Ruffians. Completely underrated band that you should definitely check out.
Have you heard Vampire Weekend's new sing, "Horchata"? It's pretty friggin' good.
Favorites right now: Nobunny, Sissy Wish, No Age...and about a thousand more that I'm blanking on.

My favourite musicians are of the 60's/70's writer/singers era
MGMT has been my favourite for about 2 years, really love them! And I met Andrew about moth ago, so lucky lucky girl! He's really adorable.

colormenana.blogspot.com
Andrew VanWyngarden is the most beautiful man. He's the background on my computer.
MGMT are bloody legendary....
As for Paolo, he is a sex god to the actual max. His new album Sunny Side up is incredible, his voice is like liquid gold, and he is HOT. the only downside, however, is that he is a druggie. hhhm
Paulo Nutini... swoon swoon...
I am amazed by your style and music tastes, both are impeccable. I am finding my self astounded by you more and more. Keep up the wonderful work! (and yes, Andrew VanWyngarden is absolutely a very beautiful creature )
all of yours + beirut, florence+themachine, band of horses, elephant parade, kings of convenience and also belle & sebastian :)
