Babydoll

I really love long silhouettes. Given the choice between a short dress or a long dress Id pick the long one. It feels more elegant to me, more refreshing, more glamorous. A vintage slip is an easy and cheap, (normally you can find one at your local thrift store or flea market), solution if you're thirsting for long lines.

Vintage dress, Forever 21 leopard cardigan, vintage rosary, Calvin Klein black heels, Black(crack)berry and vintage black leather bag.

The color of that slip is excellent!

It's really fun to hand dye vintage slips too, most times they only come in neutrals so dyeing them is a great way to get more fun colors.

here is the brand I have used in the past, with excellent results.

Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous, girl!! I'll never tire of anything classic and ladylike. No matter what, a knee-length slinky slipdress will always be relevant!!

I love the red dress it is such a gorgeous shade :)

Haha, it helps if you have really long legs! Which I don't, so I would opt for the short dress.

You look magnificent though!

I got into wearing a bunch of slips recently.
I wear them out a lot.
With tights, vintage boots, and a vest or flannel to give them a more funky vibe.
I'm very grungey ladylike lately.
Quite MS.LOVE if you will.

I have I think 6 or 7 slips now.
All in different colors and lengths.

Peace Love && Lipstick

back when I was in my courtney love/babydoll phase, i'd rit dye slips I got at Value Village for like 2.99...I once did one in this purple color and embroidered little flowers on the lacy bodice...so gorgeous and romantic. Ahh you've inspired me, I might just have to do it again!

a word to the wise, if you're going out in a slip make sure to wear at least another one under it...I made the mistake of wearing a slip with a jean jacket and didn't realize until much later why pervy old men were checking me out all night.

You're only fourteen. Why don't you dress your age? Heels, eyeliner, American Apparel, are you really in that big of a hurry to grow up? Do you feel that you need makeup to look nice? Because you don't, I'm sure you are a smart and beautiful girl who doesn't need makeup to be pretty. Maybe you fight your insecurities through hiding behind nice clothes and fancy jewelry, but I'm telling you that you don't need to. All this fashion stuff is pretentious and doesn't even make a large and significant impact on the world, so why do you care so much about it and about how you look?

*Anonymous because I don't care to argue with people who think that I'm insulting you when I'm only asking you questions.
