I was alerted to this idea of black on black by my dearest mother who told me of a woman she met who wore black tiny shorts with black tights. It sounded like a cool idea and so Ive put together this collage. Im really looking forward to experimenting with black hot shorts and black hosiery together. Must buy a pair of dark short shorts soon, otherwise I may go a bit crazy.

although i wear black shorts and black tights together all the time, i would never dare to pull off tiny short shorts...don't have the legs for it.

Karla from Karlas Closet did this with a pair of aa shorts awhile back. She pulled it off great. I tried to find the post on her blog to show you for inspiration but I couldn't find it.
It's a pretty nifty look. As someone mentioned before, Karla did it. And at one of my old jobs, they were kind of lax on the dress code. And I showed up to work once in black satin shorts and black tights. No one noticed. Go for it!
this is such a neat idea! i would love to try, but i'm not sure i'm cool enough to pull it off... but college is time for experimentation right? but i'll probably just have to live vicariously through you when you get some shorts lol.
I've been planning this look for myself for spring! Another variation on the shorts is a bloomer or puff short, which I think would be adorable with a feminine tunic. Good luck with this, and I can't wait to see your take on it.
I have worn the black shorts with black tights, but the hot pants/tiny shorts, that was always something that I would not be brave enough to do.

I've seen it done and I've even tried it before- if you get just the right shorts, it can look really great! :)
It's funny, I've had a pair of silk lacy black shorts in my underwear drawer FOREVER. And you just now made me rememner it.
maybe I'll try working them into an outfit somehow.... hmm....

I've been looking for a pair forever! The only ones i've managed to find were in Wolford and like $100. Which is plainly too much for stockings I will ladder in about a week.
